    When someone visits we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this.     Access to business information

    By registering on the online business directory you can login and access your business information that the Business Directory Team hold.

    The directory has been developed to assist local businesses in marketing themselves and to help businesses and residents source supplies locally. The directory will also act as a tool for local authorities and their partners in preparing long term strategies to support and develop the local economy. We will not include any individual business details in any analysis and do not provide aggregated data to third parties.

    Disclosure of business information

    In many circumstances we will not disclose business data without consent. You can control whether you wish to appear on the business directory via the ‘preferences’ when you login.

    Electronic Contact

    The Business Directory Team will also use the system as a means to contact local businesses as part of their work to support and develop the local economy.
